More New `Heroes`

Jim is delighted to announce that we have been given permission by Nigel Mansell and Williams Grand Prix Engineering to produce an edition in tribute to Nigel, posed in his amazing Williams FW 14B, the famous `Red 5`.

As with most of Jim’s other pieces, it will support the Grand Prix Mechanics Charitable Trust with a royalty on every sale.

Sculpting is underway, based on the sketch by Jim which is shown below and we hope to have the piece in stock in July.

We are delighted to announce the release of another edition of Jim’s `Hereos` collection, his tribute to Nelson Piquet Snr which was inspired by him in his Brabham B52. The car gave Nelson his 2nd World Championship and his first Brazilian GP win (1983).

Sir Stirling’s `Haven`

The Daily Mail magazine runs a `My Haven` feature, showing people in their comfort-zones. Yesterday’s piece was on Sir Stirling Moss OBE, who chose his office. We were delighed to see he had our tribute model on his desk !

The Goodwood festival of Speed was the perfect setting for the launch of this model and it was a great success. The McRae event team sold out before lunch on Sunday !

New `Heroes` – The Senna Tributes

As motorsport `Heroes` go, few would rate as highly as Ayrton Senna. Certainly, he was one of Jim’s favourites and when he was lost from the sport, Jim seriouly contemplated retiring. As he put it “I just felt that nothing about the sport could ever be funny again.” It took him a while to get his humour back and he was very keen to include Ayrton pieces when we started planning the `Heroes` collection.
So, you can imagine his delight when Clive Chapman and the Senna Foundation agreed to allow Jim to release `Heroes` tributes celebrating two of Ayrton’s most famous wins : his first ever, in the iconic black `JPS` at Estoril in 1985 and his last for Lotus, in the yellow 99T, at Detroit in 1987.
The models are in production now and should be with us late in September. They are limited editions of just 2000 pieces of each deisgn and are sure to be a hit with collectors as well as popular gifts for motsport fans generally.

`Heroes` : Sir Stirling Moss O.B.E

This superb model is Jim’s tribute to Sir Stirling Moss O.B.E. and it will be launched at the Silverstone Classic in July, alongside Jim’s `Sir Jackie` edition.
Jim was delighted when Sir Stirling agreed to the piece. As he said “No list of `Heroes` could be complete without including Sir Stirling so I am thrilled to have done this model. It was inspired by his famous win in the Mille Miglia in 1955.
It is the first of Jim’s `Heroes` to support the Motorpsort Safety Fund, which will receive a royalty on every sale. Production is limited to 2000 pieces. The edition number will be stamped on the base of each piece and confirmed on a certificate in each box. The price is £39.99

Sir Stirling loves the piece. When we took these pictures he said

Very Special Edition : Colin McRae’s R4

Jim is very pleased to announce the imminent release of his latest `Heroes` piece, another tribute to the late, great Colin McRae.
This one marks the R4 that Colin designed and developed which, sadly, did not go into production because of his untimely death.
Colin only raced the car once, at The Goodwood Festival of Speed in 2007. His competition number for the event was 224 and so that was the number Jim chose to limit production to.
Each piece is expertly cast by hand and then hand painted and finished with full colour decals. They are approximately 15cm x 8cm x 8cm. The edition number is stamped on the base of each piece and confirmed in a certificate that will be in each box.
They will be launched at the Goodwood Festival on 30th June. The retail price will be £49.99 and a royalty on every sale will go to Colin’s `Vision` charity.
They’ll make a great gift for any motor sport fan and, given the very limited production, they will certainly appeal to collectors worldwide.

`Heroes` Tribute to Sir Jackie Stewart OBE

This piece is the first `F1 Classic` in Jim’s motorsport merchandise range and, like all his F1 editions, it supports the Grand Prix Mechanics Charitable Trust with a royalty on every sale.

Sir Jackie was pleased to dedicate the piece to his mechanics and his quote, printed on the base of each model, sums up what he feels about them ” My mechanics were better at what they did than I was at what I did”, he said.

The model is being released in a limited edition of 1200 worlwide and our American, Brazilian and Japanese distributors, as well as out UK retailers, are very enthusiastic about its prospects. It makes a great gift for any motorsport fan and it is a piece that is bound to appeal to collectors.
