All Jim`s cars and figures are made of poly-resin in a cold-casting process and then skilfully hand painted and decorated with highly accurate decals.

The collection is sourced by Jim's licensees, Fludes S.H Ltd, from an internationally renowned factory in China. The process was a new on to Simon Flude, the company`s Chief Excecutive, "I mistakenly set out to source the product in the UK at first" he said "Maybe I should have guessed that any sort of volume production had already shifted to China ! We can have sculpting and initial sampling work done here and it is sometimes economic to produce short-run projects here but everybody`s standard run lines all seem to come from China now. They are very good at it."

Fludes selected a long established factory, which was only approved after a personal visit by Simon Flude. He was impressed, "I was apprehensive before I arrived as I was not sure what to expect but not only is the quality of production very good, the working conditions and facilities for the company`s staff are excellent."
