We are really delighted to announce our latest `Heroes`....with the kind permission of Vodafone McLaren Mercedes.

Limited edition pieces in tribute to Lewis Hamilton and Heikki Kovalainen will be released at the end of November, along with a `Celebration` Pit Crew mechanic piece.

As established with our original Pit Crew and Bambercar ranges, the new pieces support the Grand Prix Mechanics Charitable Trust with a royalty on every sale. This is what particularly appealed to the team about the project.

Nigel Moss, McLaren’s Merchandising and Licensing Director, said “The team has supported Jim Bamber`s projects since he started, because of the support he gives to the Grand Prix Mechanics Charitable Trust and of course his celebrated talent as one of the world’s leading motorsport cartoonists. It is fantastic honour for the team and our drivers to be immortalised in this way!”

Talking about the Vodafone McLaren Mercedes drivers input, Nigel went on to say “The drivers’ support for their mechanics is clear to see every day, and both Lewis and Heikki were delighted to provide quotes for the base of their respective models in support of the Trust and its excellent work.

The quotes, which are printed alongside the drivers’ signatures, show a real appreciation of the hard work their `Pit Crew` does. Lewis said “My mechanics are World Champions too – we took every step together”, while Heikki commented “I know my guys always do their best. That’s all I need.”

The collection is limited to 600 Lewis and Heikki pieces worldwide. There will be 300 of the `Celebration` Pit Crew piece.

The cars are available with certificates for £44.99 retail, or for £39.99 without.
