There was a carnival atmosphere in Brackley on Monday (9th Nov), when the town gathered to celebrate Brawn GP winning the drivers and constructors world championships. Local organisations South Northants Council and Northamptonshire Enterprise Ltd had made superb arrangements, including setting up a giant screen as a focal point for the public gathering in the market square and an open-top bus parade for the GP team through the town centre.
As you can see from our picture, to commemorate the event the Council presented Ross Brawn and Nick Fry with a cartoon they commissioned Jim to do.
As CEO of the Council, Jean Morgan put it, "If you are going to give a motorsport cartoon it has to be done by Jim ! We are very pleased with it and you can see from Ross and Nick`s faces that they like it too."
